"Many parts of this santo I made: all nails, four crossbar sprouts, one of Christ's arms, arms and hands of angelito and one foot, Christ's lower legs and feet."|Soluvar Sept 1986|"I had made a head in 1979 mas o menos in the Fresquis style before I realized this was a Molleno; I removed that head and replaced it with the one from RU 236, which had come from a Molleno crucifix and was the right size and a pretty close match for gesso color."
