The first letter (pages 1-3 & 5-6) outlines the Las Vegas Controversy between the Jesuits and the Archbishop of Santa Fe. It details the compromises offered by the Archbishop and the counteroffer made by the Jesuits in order to remain in Las Vegas.
The second letter (pages 4 & 7-8) communicates a decision regarding the Las Vegas Jesuits from the Sacred Congregation.
