Description of breakout sessions:

“The purpose of the breakout sessions for this Good Trouble Conversation was threefold.

First, to have the audience constitute themselves into small groups by engaging with and appropriating the conversation norms of respect, trust, and sharing the air.

Second, to practice openness, empathy and self-awareness through small-group conversation on the following prompts:
What key experiences have shaped how you think about liberation?
What empowers and sustains you in the work towards liberation?
As you listened to Olga Segura, what seized your imagination? Filled you with joy and gratitude? Broke your heart?
What would your small group collectively want to share out with the whole group and with Olga Segura from your conversation?
Third, to harvest the fruits of those small-group conversations on large-sticky notes; to share them back with the whole group; and to offer Olga Segura the opportunity to engage with participants by responding to those conversations.”
