Description:
The SEED Institute at Regis University's Anderson College of Business and Computing presents a keynote and panel discussion on the legacy of Rocky Flats. Rocky Flats was a nuclear weapons manufacturing plant in Jefferson County, Colorado. It was shut down in 1992 after Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and FBI investigations found the plant to be operating in hazardous conditions in violation of environmental laws. Part of the area where the plant operated is now the Rocky Flats Wildlife Refuge.
