The Catholic Speaker Series was an ongoing event put on by Regis University’s Office of Mission and frequently in collaboration with other university offices and departments. The talks in this collection are largely part of the Catholicism in the Modern World series, which brought Jesuit and Catholic thought leaders from around the globe to speak at Regis. These events were presented to the Regis and wider Colorado community to provide ongoing faith formation on critical issues. This collection holds video and audio recordings of talks that occurred from 1990 to 2014; most include a Q & A portion where audience members were invited to take part. Topics discussed are wide-ranging and include science, popular culture, ethics, peace, higher education, globalization, and spirituality. These vast topics are discussed within the context of Catholic thought and invite listeners to engage more deeply with the world.
